We had joined this company to get under contract in case something happened to our air conditioner. We were called to schedule routine maintenance and the technician who came here admitted to me he had broke some thing while attempting to maintain upstairs by the AC unit (I am not well-versed in terms in this industry-That is why I trusted this company). another technician was sent out later that day. I have no idea what they did. They didn’t talk to me or my husband. They just left and that was back in August when I went to turn on heat whatever they had done in August (which they had never called me back to come back and actually finish maintenance because obviously somebody knew it wouldn’t work) and when they could not find the part that day they must have makeshift rewired or done something just to get the air conditioner to work because it was August. We live in South Carolina and this is going on almost 2 weeks without heat and it’s the last week was the coldest week of the year so far - we have two little children we were not offered any portable heater or any portable air-conditioning unit when the air conditioning was out they have a constant problem finding parts and communicating. They don’t take notes on your own air conditioning unit. I’ve also heard that this company has been sold to Ace Hardware if you’re looking for company in, South Carolina, do not pick this company or anything associated with Ace Pictures are of what the first technician told me was broken and that they could not fix prior to them doing whatever happened up there afterwards. 🙁 we have also spent an outrageous amount of money and they told us after we get up and running We’ll go talk about a refund, but they still won’t come out unless we pay for everything first. I highly recommend Carolina Custom Air. Prior to contacting Carolina Custom Air, I had two other companies troubleshoot my air conditioning unit and advised me to install a new unit to replace my seven year old air conditioner. Carolina Custom Air was able to service me over the July 4th holiday period. Their service technician Ryan Dean was excellent! He arrived on time as scheduled and did a great job troubleshooting my problem and determining the root cause of the failure. He clearly communicated the recommended repair strategy. Ryan was able to order the appropriate replacement parts and install them in a timely manner so we could minimize the downtime on my air conditioning unit during this recent heat wave. He conducted the work safely and left the unit and my home with good housekeeping and restored the performance on my air conditioner. Ryan was very professional and “Brilliant at the basics.” On -time, good communicator , strong technical knowledge, and efficient in the repairs. Great team to work with. They installed a ventilating dehumidifier for me, and really took the time to understand the requirements of the project in the planning phase, making suggestions to improve the setup and overall outcome. Marshall Nichols came to my house to repair my AC. He explained, in detail the issues involved and the work required to fix it. He was very neat, professional, and obviously very experienced in his trade. He found the part necessary for the repair was actually under warranty, and I would be more than happy to use them again, especially if Marshall is the technician they send. Read Less

William Roush from Carolina custom air showed up at his scheduled time and immediately went to work doing our winter furnace service. He completed his work in a timely manner.
